Pike Place Market

2 Dec

Pike Place Market  was interesting. I’ve read reviews on it and some say it’s a must see, favorite place in Seattle, best market ever, etc, and I just wasn’t feeling the whole big thing about it. Maybe it’s because i’ve traveled to a bunch of countries around the world, but again, I guess it’s the experience.

I asked Adam to take a picture of me by the fish place, where they throw the fish around to each other, and the guy put the fish right up to my face, I didn’t even notice until everyone was staring at me.

We then explored other shops in the market.

While walking around the downtown area we decided to go to the Seattle Art Museum. It wasn’t my favorite museum, I actually kind of wished we didn’t go.

Some employee dude came up to me and told me I can’t take pictures, what’s up with that…? Anyway, we left and saw a little gelato shop, and of course had some.

We headed back to Portland.

img_3312It says, Entering Portland, but this camera we had to use is horrible.

Overall, the little trip to Seattle was worth it :)

*I can’t upload any pictures from my camera because my cord is broken. But when I get a new one, they will be up.

I haven’t updated in forever… and my excuse is like everyone else’s… being extremely busy. So, I went to Portland, Oregon twice in November (even in the middle of being extremely busy) and it was awesome.

Nov. 5-9

Went to Cannon Beach and Ecola State Park with Adam. But, on the way there we stopped at Tillamook Cheese Factory and ate some squeaky cheese.

I had soooo much fun and was so sad to come back to hell, I mean… home.

So five days in oregon passed and classes/homework took over my life again.

Nov. 27-Dec 1

Went back to Oregon. Had Thanksgiving at my brother C.J.’s place in SE Portland. Had a bunch of wine and no turkey to been seen. We instead had coq au vin that C.J. made, some lamb baked ziti that Brianne made, brussels sprouts, and cranberry sauce (the canned is so much better) i made. It was quite interesting.

The next day, Black Friday, Adam and I met his sister at Target around 5 where there were hundreds of people waiting for the doors to open. We all looked like a herd of cattle.

Then, Adam and I left for Seattle!

We stopped in Washington somewhere and this is like the third time he ever pumped gas in his life because it’s illegal to pump your own gas in Oregon. I figured we should document this occasion.

So, back on the road until we reached the hotel in Seattle.

We decided to go explore the city.

The Space Needle was only a few blocks from the hotel we stayed in.

Adam and I decided to take the underground tour of Seattle.

It was about how Seattle is 12 ft. higher than what it was in the past.

After the tour, which was pretty cool, we went back to the hotel and got ready for dinner up in the 360 degree restaurant. It is an all window restaurant at the top of the Space Needle with really expensive everything. At least we can say we did it.

It was extremely cold! So we only stayed up there for just enough time to take two really horrible pictures.

Saturday, we went to Pike Place Market. —–I will continue this part tomorrow.
